Our Story

I always enjoy hearing the stories of how people meet and marry, especially medical wives and their husbands. It's fun to get a little glimpse into their life through their story. So I wanted to share a little of PC's and my story.

  • We met in a mixed martial arts class called Krav Maga in 2010.
  • My mom is the one who brought PC to my attention (she was taking the class as well).
  • We both noticed each other but didn't talk for about a year, during which time my mom kept trying to get me to talk to him. One of the reasons I didn't talk to him was that I could tell he was younger than me – yes, I am 2 ½ years older than him.
  •  My family and I had a very chance meeting with PC at a hospital my grandpa was at, and we came to find out he worked there.
  • After that I decided it might be ok to start talking to him. So next Krav class I did. : )
  • Come to find out his sister was interested in the dental hygiene (my career), and his family went to the dental office where a good friend I graduated with worked.
  • His mom and sister stalked me on facebook.
  • I would have stalked him on facebook, but he didn't have one at the time.
  • His family invited mine over for dinner.
  • At said dinner my dad ended up inviting him and his dad on our upcoming trip to a firearms training facility near Las Vegas. Only PC was able to come. ; )
  • Through a series of events he and I were on a separate flight than everyone else, so we were able to talk for hours and get to know each other better.
  • After we got home our families started doing a lot together. Come to find out later that our moms were plotting our marriage during this time.
  • He officially asked me to date him in July 2011 on the beach at sunset. It was perfect!
  • We knew right away that our relationship was moving toward marriage. Fast!
  • 7 weeks after we started dating, he proposed (which is an amazing story in itself).
  • 6 months and 1 day later we were married.
  • And I've loved every day since being his wife. : )
  • In this post I pick up the story after we were married.
So there you have it! It's hard to narrow it down to bullet points; there are SO MANY fun details, but because I didn't want to write a book, I decided to keep it short and sweet.
